Locked and Loaded!

Are we ready for you Lennon?  I think so!  This weekend your mommy cleaned like a crazy person and daddy got your car seat all installed in mommy's car. Hospital bags are "mostly" packed. Of course there are a couple more things to throw in at the last minute.

Today we have a doctors appointment. We will find out if you are still ahead of the curve size wise in there. Let's hope you are back to "average" so you stop worrying all of your very excited grandparents. Everyone is just so excited to meet you!  More than likely you will be a happy camper in my belly for another 6 weeks and I will have to clean the house 20 more times before you come!

Love you little boy,

Mommy

The short and long of our wait for you...

Pat mentioned to me the other day that we only had approx. 8 weekends left before Lennon comes. Shocking!  Counting down the Saturdays sleeping in, church services, and date nights has begun. Yesterday I cried becuase of this. Please do not get me wrong, I am so VERY excited to become a mommy and share in the life experience of raising a child with my best friend. However, I am morning the loss of my delightfully simple life with my husband. Simply said, I just plain love my husband to death. I can't imagine a day without him and I know that our days from now on are going to be stretched a little more thin. We will learn of course how to change, and to make time for 'us'. I KNOW this to be true.

That being said, I also can't wait to see Pat as a daddy. I know he will make an amazing father to Lennon. Teaching him to be strong and faithful and of course a proud Hawkeye.

I also love to see how our relationship has developed from two young college students playing at the beach all day, staying out late, walking home at the end of the night with Last Dollar by Tim McGraw playing from a cell phone to a strong and healthy marriage.

Much More to Come!

Love,

The Wood Pile
