Lennon Update #11 (from 11/17/11)

Our baby is getting fit!  Chelsey is still doing her workouts over the lunch hour which include some kickboxing.  I think the baby is learning some of her kickboxing moves because he or she is moving around like crazy!  I was finally able to feel the baby move and it was incredible!  This is the 19th week of the pregnancy.  As you can see by the photo Chelsey is really looking pregnant.  We didn’t draw the fruit this week as we are curious what everyone is guessing for the gender.  So get in your guesses for the baby pool: gender, birthdate, weight (pounds & ounces), and length (inches).  In the event you were curious the baby is the size of a mango this week, approximately 9 ounces and 7 inches long.

This week Chelsey had a little more weight gain, up to eight pounds overall.  Again, no real cravings this week but Chelsey still needs her orange juice each morning and pizza always sounds good.  The one thing that made her queasy, makes most people queasy, the smell of the can return.  I can’t blame her.  Chelsey is constantly feeling movement, the most movement is after breakfast and dinner.  We figured out that every time Chelsey eats a banana the baby goes crazy so that is always fun.  Chelsey’s best moment this past week was when I could feel the baby move, she said my reaction was awesome.

Chelsey scored some great deals this past week to add to her maternity wardrobe.  She is starting to favor her maternity wardrobe compared to her pre-pregnancy wardrobe.  Additionally, it is getting more difficult for Chels to do daily tasks such as tying her shoes or twisting to get something.  Right now Chelsey and I are both so excited to have her ultrasound next Monday.  We can’t wait to get a peek at the little guy or girl and are just praying that he or she is healthy.  Chelsey is also very excited for Thanksgiving with family, and neither of us are looking forward to purchasing a new roof which will also be happening this next Monday.

Hope this reaches all of you well. Thank you for keeping Chelsey and Baby Wood in your thoughts and prayers!

Love,
Patrick, Chelsey, & Baby Wood
