Lennon Update #13 (from 12/1/11)

I am including the impromptu picture we took in Houston last week and Kelsey made a guest appearance as we didn't have a chalkboard.  Chels found a pregnancy timeline geared for dads and this week Lennon is the size of a whoopee cushion! :)  This is the 21st week of the pregnancy and Chelsey is really showing now.  The regular baby timeline compares the baby to the size of a banana.  I attempted to draw a banana but it looked a little too phallic and the other option of a carrot wasn’t much better, so I turned the number one into a banana tree.  I am sure we are not alone in trying to readjust to work after having a break for Thanksgiving.  We had a great time in Houston with family, and thank you Halls for hosting us!  We are both looking forward to catching up on sleep this weekend and of course spending Christmas with family in a few weeks. 

This week Chelsey had more weight gain, up to eleven pounds overall.  No cravings this week and Chelsey said nothing in particular made her queasy.  The best moment for Chelsey this week was Black Friday shopping in Houston.  Lennon’s wardrobe grew significantly.  Chelsey wanted to reassure everyone that she isn’t crazy and only bought 9-18 month stuff.  It was nice that Chels was able to find some great deals for stuff that he will need. 

Chelsey is rocking the maternity clothes as much as possible and if she can’t she is wearing her yoga pants.  She doesn’t have any stretch marks and her belly button is still in but it is getting flatter.  Lennon is moving constantly now, it is awesome!  His most noticeable and strongest movements are first thing in the morning and right before bed.  It was really exciting this week when we were able to see him moving from the outside.  My last predictions of him being a body builder are pretty accurate as he is getting strong enough that we can see him push outwards at night. I just got back to work after Chelsey's doctor appointment and he said that Lennon is just right!  He showed us some graphs and he was right on target, not too big and not too little (I feel like I sound like Goldilocks).
