Based on the activities this week I think our baby will be an acrobat! He or she is busy kicking away and stretching, Chelsey can’t feel this yet but will start to feel these movements in the coming months. This is the 11th week, as you can see in the attached photo Chelsey still has just a little bump and she feels like she is losing her shape. The other interseting thing that will begin this week is our baby is developing his or her diaphram and will begin to hiccup. I thought that was pretty cool. Chelsey is really wishing she could feel something but again it will just take some time.
Again this week there were no significant weight changes. Chelsey was really excited when she first noticed she gained 0.2 pounds. In her words, “not much gained, but in the right direction!” Her food aversion is still raw meat but that is getting better. Chelsey is still craving lots of cheesy foods, but more and more she is craving buffalo sauce. I am loving this! I am getting to eat lots of cheesy stuff and now we are making more buffalo wraps and dips… it’s delicious!
Chelsey still hasn't had to switch over to maternity clothes, but was excited to get some new maternity clothes with her mom this past weekend. Still just wearing the maternity jeans and leggings on the weekends as they are more comfortable. No stretch marks, her belly button is still in, and her wedding ring is still on. Most of the time she is happy just sleepy. Her best moment this past week was she got to mow the lawn, I never thought she would miss mowing so much but she was very excited.
I think this week was the biggest change in Chelsey’s energy level. On Tuesday night she fell asleep right after we ate dinner around 6:30 and then I woke her up around 8 and she was up for about an hour and we went to bed for the night. The thing she is missing the most right now is having energy. Hopefully that will change soon, the doctor said that she should start to get more energy. Chelsey is still having crazy dreams, but overall she is sleeping well. One of her dreams this past week was that we had a girl and that was her only gender prediction dream to date, so we will see! We are both excited and axiously waiting for her next doctor’s appointment two weeks from tomorrow when we get to hear the heartbeat.
I hope all of you are doing well.
Love,
Patrick, Chelsey, & Baby Wood
