Our little Hawkeye is the size of an ear of corn! (how fitting) Lennon is just over a foot long and he weighs about a pound and a half. This is the 24th week of the pregnancy. It is pretty unmistakable, Chelsey is pregnant! She is wearing maternity clothes pretty much all of the time. Chels said that she wished she could live in her yoga pants all day every day. The best moment this past week was being able to lay my head on Chelsey’s belly and hearing Lennon move around. It’s one thing that Chels is obviously unable to do and she enjoys the fact that I get to. She said “I love that (Pat) can hear him moving around and occasionally kick Pat in the face.” Real nice! :)
This week Chelsey had a little more weight gain, up to twelve and a half pounds overall. This week Chelsey has been craving sweets again. She is trying to avoid sweets because she has her glucose test next week on the 29th and she is pretty scared. She really doesn’t want to have gestational diabetes. Still no food aversions and not really missing anything, overall pretty happy. Lennon has been moving quite a bit more the past day or two. We think he is finally gaining a little more strength so his movements are a little more intense. Chelsey is really ready for Lennon’s head to flip down so he will stop doing a river dance on her bladder.
Chelsey has really been having some rough nights of sleep recently. Her dreams are still crazy, but the past couple of nights haven’t been as bad. One kind of odd thing that has started is Chelsey is really itchy. Last night Chelsey’s legs and chest itched so bad that she got up at 2am and took a bath to get it to calm down. Let’s hope this doesn’t continue. I was so confused when I woke up to the bath going, I thought Chelsey was sleep bathing. Still no stretch marks, her wedding ring is still on, and Chelsey and I are both looking forward to Christmas this week.
Hope this reaches all of you well, Chelsey, Lennon, and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and thank you for keeping Chelsey and Lennon in your thoughts and prayers!
Love,
Patrick, Chelsey, & Lennon
Also, thanks to Aunt Kels for her assistance in this week’s chalkboard drawing!
