Wonderful Surprise

The morning started out terribly. Yesterday was Lennon's due date. I was an emotional wreck. I didn't think I would see that day and not have him yet. I had it in my head that he would be here already and we would be engrossed in loving on our little one. Nevertheless, the day began and we were set to take the 40 week chalkboard picture. Before Pat could even get set to take it, I began bawling. Needless to say, I can't believe the picture turned out. The morning was all about the same, spent on the verge of tears.

At 11:00 or so, one of my co-workers emailed me and told me to head home and take a long lunch. I was so grateful that! Once I got home, Pat told me I didn't have to go back to work, because he had arranged for me to have the afternoon off. How amazing!  He surprised me with flowers, one of my favorite snacks, and tickets to the I-cubs game that started at 12:05. It was so wonderful! We hurried down to the ballpark and spent the afternoon eating bbq nachos and watching a great baseball game. After the game, we took the dogs to Gray's Lake and walked.

It was WONDERFUL!!!!!

I have the best husband, I am so amazingly blessed with a man that really does understand me and knows when I need to take some time away. He is going to be such a great dad!

And this is what I look like dead asleep with a pooch on my face after a long day!
Much Love,

The Wood Pile
